From Chaos to Composition in Just 8 Days
Can a child really compose in eight days? Honestly, it takes about four lessons. But most kids don't sit still through a four-lesson marathon, so we cut the course into eight short, easy steps and call it a week of music.
In old European cities like Vienna, every street has a random name, and before Google Maps, finding your way anywhere was a real challenge. In North American cities, the system is different: numbers plus streets and avenues tell you at a glance which way to go. Today, our smartphones and tablets do the directing for us, so anyone can navigate with ease. Composition Course One does the same thing for the piano: it uses color-coded keys to help children navigate the music.
Please do not rush this course. For best results, complete one module a day spread out over 8 or more days.
Mentor Note: If you saw the screenshot below, you might wonder why we only use six keys. This course was developed by a retired music teacher from Austria who believes a smaller, stronger foundation matters more than using many keys at once, which would make the color coding confusing. Once the foundation is understood, building on it is easy.
