Little Composers introduces your child to music through play, with no reading skills needed. Just tap, listen, and create.
Each app takes a different approach to teaching music, but both share the same philosophy: children learn best when they play.
Your child's first music app. Instead of piano keys, NOAH uses friendly animals like Bird, Camel, Dolphin, Elephant, Fish, Giraffe, and Alligator, each representing a musical note. Tap an animal, hear a sound. It's that simple.
The next step in your child's musical journey. Pre Piano introduces color-coded piano keys in white and red, bridging the gap between animal symbols and traditional music. Coming soon.
Young children can't read yet, but they can recognize a bird or a turtle. NOAH replaces traditional note symbols with colorful animal characters that children instantly understand.
Each of the seven play pads features a different animal representing a musical note. When your child taps the Giraffe, they hear the G note. The Dolphin plays D. Over time, they begin to associate sounds with symbols, the very foundation of reading music.
NOAH isn't just a toy; it's a real music tool designed by a music teacher. The composition module lets your child create seven-note melodies by selecting animals in sequence. The built-in octopus button generates random melodies that your child can learn, modify, and make their own.
With adjustable playback speed (rabbit for normal, turtle for slow), your child can listen carefully and follow along at their own pace.
Tap the button above. NOAH loads in your browser, so there is no download, no account, and no installation.
Your child taps the play pads at the bottom of the screen. Each animal plays a different note.
Press the octopus to hear a melody. Use the arrows to change notes. Watch the animals dance as they play.
The Canadian team behind Little Composers have created what may be the best music apps for younger kids, and they're available on all tablets, smartphones, Macs and PCs.
Kevin McGuire, The Irish TimesAs a radio announcer, it is very important for me to have my daughter involved in the world of music. I just want music to mean as much to her as it does to me. So it made sense to start her in it as soon as possible. I found Little Composers and instantly knew it was for us! It really is brilliant and easy to follow along. I highly recommend it for you and your "little composer."
